Description
The Peppermint Shrimp has bright reddish color with intricate lines running down its small body.
The Peppermint Shrimp is a valuable scavenging shrimp. It will eat pest anemone called Aiptasia, and scavenge uneaten food. House with peaceful fish such as tangs or clownfish with plenty of live rock for shelter. It’s best to avoid housing with dottybacks, hawkfish or wrasses. The Peppermint Shrimp is best kept in small groups. They may occasionally clean fish. Acclimate very slow.
Marine shrimp are very resourceful in finding their own food but it will be necessary to supplementing their diet with small food pellets and flake food; also include minced meaty foods.
