The Blue Eye Fire Urchin or Blue-Spotted Urchin are found in the Caribbean waters, this alien like creature has a radiant red round body draped with rows of small glowing blue and red spots. It is covered in long spines that are light to dark brown or black.
Blue Eye Fire Urchin should be housed with plenty of well-established live rock and thick sandy substrate for shelter and grazing. Sharp Spines can inflict injury to skin causing redness and swelling.
Starfish and urchins will feed on waste, small organisms, invertebrates and algae in the rock and substrate. Also supplement their diet with small minced meaty foods such as clams, squid and shrimp.
