Description
The Aptasia Eating Filefish is known as the Matted Filefish or Leatherjacket. It is a thin fish with a narrow head and small mouth. The body color is a splotchy brown.
The Matted Filefish is a very docile fish and does well in a friendly fish system. It does not require a large aquarium and will eat aptasia which is a small anemone that can grow and spread on live rock. The Matted Filefish should not be kept in a reef tank or with invertebrates.
The filefish will eat a variety of small meaty foods such as enriched brine shrimp and mysis shrimp; also include marine algae.
