The Blue Head Wrasse in the adult phase is cigar shaped with two bands of black with white sandwiched between. The head is a vibrant blue and the rest of the body is a yellowish gold. The female is all blue with black bands.
This very hardy wrasse is found from the Caribbean to the Carolinas. They are active hunters scavenging all day. At night they will seek shelter in the substrate. They are easy to feed and should be kept with peaceful tank mates. Provide plenty of live rock and thick sandy substrate. Will eat invertebrates in the tank.
The wrasse will consume a wide variety of foods. Feed vitamin enriched frozen and dry foods. Train your wrasse to eat Ocean Nutrition Pellet Food for a healthy diet.
