The Condylactus Anemone known as the Haitian Anemone or Condy is a very popular anemone displaying whitish tentacles and pink or purple tips. It will nestle in rocks and crevices usually leaving its tentacles exposed.
The Condy Anemone is a hardy species requiring medium to full light and adequate water movement. Most clownfish will not partner with the Condy but may host some shrimps. Have plenty of live rock and thick sandy or rubble substrate.
The Anemone uses photosynthesis and turns light into nutrients. They also filter algae and other organisms in the surrounding water column where they are anchored. Supplement its diet with meaty foods such as shrimp, krill, clams and worms. Soak foods in vitamin solution for added nutrition.
