The Curleyque Anemone a popular site in the Caribbean waters, this anemone anchors itself to rockwork and empty shells. The thin spiraling tentacles seem to move in an erratic pace.
Not a good anemone to host a clownfish, but does very well in a Caribbean-style tank. Have adequate lighting and medium water movement. Provide plenty of rock work and a sandy substrate.
The anemone uses photosynthesis and turns light into nutrients. They also filter algae and other organisms in the surrounding water column where they are anchored. Supplement its diet with meaty foods such as shrimp, krill, clams and worms. Soak foods in vitamin solution for added nutrition.
