The Purple Long Tentacle Anemone has an abundance of medium sized purple tentacles and a red base. It is a gracious host to clownfish, usually the clarki.
The Purple Long Tentacle Anemone does well in a well-established system with plentiful live rock and a thick sandy or rubble substrate. Medium lighting will be fine with medium water current.
The anemone uses photosynthesis and turns light into nutrients. They also filter algae and other organisms in the surrounding water column where they are anchored. Supplement its diet with meaty foods such as shrimp, krill, clams and worms. Soak foods in vitamin solution for added nutrition.
