The Ritteri Anemone or Magnificent Anemone is one of the larger anemones. It has varied bright colors but usually has beige-colored tentacles with slightly pinkish ends.
The Ritteri Anemone requires an expert aquarist for its needs. Very large tanks are needed for the Ritteri Anemone with full extensive lighting and moderate water flow and frequent feeding is necessary with large meaty foods. In the wild, this anemone will host many clownfish simultaneously.
The anemone uses photosynthesis and turns light into nutrients. They also filter algae and other organisms in the surrounding water column where they are anchored. Supplement its diet with meaty foods such as shrimp, krill, clams and worms. Soak foods in vitamin solution for added nutrition.
