The Rock Flower Anemone is an attractive hardy anemone that boasts a wide variety of colors. Usually their tentacles are exposed while their bodies remain in the crevice or substrate.
The Rock Flower is a great intermediate anemone, it will not attract clownfish, but is a favorite of the porcelain crab. Full lighting and adequate water movement is required with plenty of rock or jagged substrate for it to anchor.
The anemone uses photosynthesis and turns light into nutrients. They also filter algae and other organisms in the surrounding water column where they are anchored. Supplement its diet with meaty foods such as shrimp, krill, clams and worms. Soak foods in vitamin solution for added nutrition.
