Description
The Spider Crab or Decorator Crab has a spider-like appearance and uses bits of sponges and soft coral to decorate itself. This brilliant strategy camouflages their body to predators.
The Spider Crab is a good scavenger and will consume uneaten food and waste. They should be housed only in a fish friendly system away from predator fish such as puffers and wrasses and most triggers.
Crabs are aggressive scavengers and will leave no stone unturned to seek food. Supplement their diet with algae, small meaty foods and pellet foods such as Ocean Nutrition Formula One Pellets.
