The Harlequin Shrimp is a dazzling looking shrimp. It is white with large orange or blue spots on its body. Behind the first row of walking legs are a pair of paddles used to flip sea stars over.
The Harlequin Shrimp feeds on live sea stars and needs a constant supply to flourish. These beautiful shrimp should be kept in mated pairs in a friendly fish system. Avoid housing with dottybacks, triggers, puffers, hawkfish or wrasses. Have an adequate filtration system for partially eaten decaying sea stars.
Marine shrimp are very resourceful in finding their own food but it will be necessary to supplementing their diet with small food pellets and flake food; also include minced meaty foods.
