The Purple Claw Pistol Shrimp has a light orange body with shaded purple pitcher claws. They also have a black eye spot on either side of their body.
They will eat most all foods and will make an excellent scavenger. They can be paired with gobies and will have a symbiotic relationship, as they both will burrow together. Provide a thick sand bed, with plenty of loose ruble. They prefer dimly lit tanks. They are capable of making an audible clicking sound with their clicker claws that can be heard outside the tank.
Marine shrimp are very resourceful in finding their own food but it will be necessary to supplementing their diet with small food pellets and flake food; also include minced meaty foods.
