The Short Spine Sea Urchin has a dark round body covered with sharp short spines.
The Short Spine Sea Urchin is self-sufficient and will come out of hiding at night to seek out algae and small organisms in the live rock. More than one can be kept in larger tanks.
Starfish and urchins will feed on waste, small organisms, invertebrates and algae in the rock and substrate. Also supplement their diet with small minced meaty foods such as clams, squid and shrimp.
