The Zebra Urchin has long pale thin spins with reddish brown bands. The circular body has small iridescent spots with a protruding anus.
The Zebra Urchin can be hardy if provided with a well- establish tank with plenty of live rock. Keep proper salinity and temperatures consistent. More active at night they will graze algae on live rock and will accept some small meaty foods. Spines are not poisonous but can inflict wounds on the skin.
Starfish and urchins will feed on waste, small organisms, invertebrates and algae in the rock and substrate. Also supplement their diet with small minced meaty foods such as clams, squid and shrimp.
