Description
The Blue Ring Angelfish or Annularis Angelfish has a brownish yellow oval body with vertically curved neon turquoise stripes running down its body with a whitish tail. The juvenile is very similar with a slightly more protruding nose ; the lines on the body are more predominate and vary between white and blue.
The Blue Ring Angelfish is a hardy robust Anglefish and readily accepts many types of food, great for the intermediate aquarist to procure their first large Angelfish. The Blue Ring Angelfish can tolerate an environment occupied with a variety of species of fish. In a large tank, they will grow quickly, so we recommend a minimum of 180-200 gallons with ample swimming room. Keep only one per tank with plenty of live rock for grazing and shelter. The Blue Ring Angelfish will nip at many different corals and small invertebrates in the tank.
Feed a variety of vitamin-enriched foods; include marine algae and meaty foods as part of the diet. Consider Ocean Nutrition Formula One Pellets to provide the necessary protein and vitamins angelfish need.
