Description
The Flame Anthias or Ignitus Anthias has a reddish orange body with a beautiful forked tail fin and long flowing pectoral fins. The dorsal fin is usually a darker red.
The Flame Anthias is a hearty specimen found in shallow reef slopes of the Indian Ocean. It does best in a reef tank or peaceful fish tank with lots of swimming room. Keep only one per tank or one male with several females in larger tanks if introduced simultaneously. Have plenty of live rock with good shelter areas.
Feed your anthias a varied diet, including small meaty frozen food such as mysis and enriched brine shrimp. Try to transition your anthias to Formula One Ocean Nutrition Small Pellets and Flakes
