Description
The Red Belted Anthias or Redbar Anthias is a light orange to pink color, with a dark orange splotch or belt mark in the center of the body. There are light blue horizontal highlights near the eyes.
The Red Belted Anthias is a durable and somewhat aggressive anthias. Keep only one per tank or one male with several females in a much larger tank. Provide lower light levels in the tank. Have plenty of live rock with good shelter areas.
Colors will fade if not given an adequate amount of food and a proper diet.
Feed your anthias a varied diet, including small meaty frozen food such as mysis and enriched brine shrimp. Try to transition your anthias to Formula One Ocean Nutrition Small Pellets and Flakes for a healthy diet in order to maintain its brilliant colors.
