Description
The Harlequin Bass has a whitish body with black irregular markings. The lower half of the body is yellow. The snout is pointed with shifty reactive eyes.
The Harlequin Bass is very hardy and a great fish for the entry-level aquarist just starting out. They do well in small to large reef tanks with lots of shelter area. Keep only one per tank unless mated pairs. May attack small invertebrates and other smaller fish.
They will eat a variety of small meaty foods. Try adding vitamin-enriched food once the fish is established like Ocean Nutrition Formula One Small Pellets.
