The Whitetail Dottyback has a gentle purple body covered by rows of tiny yellow dots. The dorsal fin runs the length of the body and also has rows of yellow dots. The pelvic fin has a strategically placed red dot and the base of the tail fin has a white band. Blue highlights surround the fins and eyes.
The Whitetail Dottyback is very hardy and ideal for a community tank. Provide lots of live rock for shelter. Keep only one per tank unless a larger tank is used.
They will eat a variety of small meaty foods. Try adding vitamin-enriched food once the fish is established like Ocean Nutrition Formula One Small Pellets.
