The Yellow Assessor Basslet, also known as the MacNeill's Assessor, is all mostly all yellow with a draping forktail tailfin. The Blue Assessor has unusual swimming patterns; sometimes swimming upside down and sideways.
The Yellow Assessor does best in at least a 30-gallon tank or larger with smaller peaceful tank-mates, provide plenty of live rock for shelter. The Blue Assessor should be kept single as the only basslet due to their aggressive behavior to its own species, however this fish is very hardy and a ideal candidate for a reef environment.
The Yellow Assessor Basslet will feed on meaty foods such as mysis shrimp, vitamin-enriched brine shrimp, and frozen carnivore cubes or preparations.
