Description

The Starry Blenny or Starry Lawnmower Blenny is a faded brown color with iridescent white specs covering its body. It has a Martian-like face with antennas protruding from its forehead.

 

This blenny is a pure joy to watch.  It enjoys perching in the best vantage points in the tank and will maintain its territory.  It grazes on algae mainly off the live rock surfaces.  Keep only one per tank and stay away from similar body-shaped fish.

 

Blennies will eat mostly all foods including vegetable matter that contains marine algae.  Try feeding with Ocean Nutrition Formula One Pellets regularly for a healthy diet.
