Description
The Masked Bannerfish has a black face with white lines above and in front of the eyes. There is a black vertical band crossing the body from behind the high dorsal fin to the pelvic fins and a black shade area going down to the anal fins.
The Masked Bannerfish is docile but competitive during feeding and should be kept with peaceful tank mates . They will swim in all areas of the tank and should have plenty of swimming area. Pairs can be added to larger tanks if done simultaneously. Keep in a well-established tank with plenty of live rock for grazing and shelter. May nip at coral and invertebrates and not recommended for a reef tank.
To initiate feeding, offer a variety of small frozen foods such as mysis shrimp, enriched brine shrimp and cyclopeeze. Train your butterflyfish to eat Formula One Small Pellets or Flakes for a healthy diet.
