Description
The Black Cardinal has an all-black body with large eyes on its big head. Juveniles will have a translucent white color towards their elongated tail fin.
The Black Cardinal fish is a peaceful fish and can be kept in reef or friendly fish systems. They can be kept singly or in small groups. Have plenty of live rock for shelter. They should leave most invertebrates alone except for very tiny crustaceans.
Feed cardinal fish a well-balanced diet including small meaty foods such as brine shrimp, mysis shrimp and krill. Try feeding Ocean Nutrition Formula One Pellets, an all in one food.
