Description
The Red Saddleback Clownfish or Fire Anemonefish is similar in looks to the Tomato Clownfish, but does not have the distinct white band behind the eyes.
In the wild the Red Saddle Back prefers the Bubbletip and leathery Sea Anemones, but will thrive without one. It is territorial around an anemone or hiding area that it can claim. This hardy fish will bully other peaceful fish but not cause much stress; it may be entertaining at most. Keep only one per tank and have lots of good hiding areas in live rock and a thick sandy substrate.
The clownfish is always a ravenous feeder and will eat almost all meaty and prepared foods. Make sure the food is small enough in size to fit into their mouths. Try Formula One Ocean Nutrition Small Pellets for a balanced diet.
