The Red Velvet Fairy Wrasse or Rosy-scale Fairy Wrasse has a reddish body turning more orange towards the posterior. The fin display is quite fancy with a variety of blue accents. Males will usually be more distinguished.
The Red Velvet Fairy Wrasse is a very hardy and active fish and perfect for a reef tank. Always best to add fairy wrasse simultaneously if possible. Provide a well-established system with plenty of live rock and thick sandy substrate. Will not harm invertebrates. This species is known for their jumping; make sure you have a fully sealed lid on the aquarium.
The wrasse will consume a wide variety of foods. Feed vitamin enriched frozen and dry foods. Train your wrasse to eat Ocean Nutrition Pellet Food for a healthy diet.
