The Twelve Line Wrasse or Four line Wrasse has a confusing name because if only main lateral lines are counted it’s called a Four Line Wrasse. It is called a "Twelve Line Wrasse" if the thin colored stripes on either side of main four lines are counted. This very colorful fish has a small narrow body that is a light orange to a pale green with four horizontal iridescent blue lines; purple and blue accents surround the fins.
The Twelve Line Wrasse is a very hardy and active fish that meanders around with its shifty eyes searching for organisms in live rock. More than one can be housed in larger tanks. It does well in community tanks and will ignore larger fish. Have lots of live rock for this colorful fish and good hiding places with thick sandy substrate. The Twelve Line Wrasse will eat smaller invertebrates.
The wrasse will consume a wide variety of foods. Feed vitamin enriched frozen and dry foods. Train your wrasse to eat Ocean Nutrition Pellet Food for a healthy diet.
