The White Banded Possum Wrasse or White Banded Sharpnose Wrasse has a reddish body with sporadic white vertical strips and some black spotting. The head slants downward and the nose is very pointed.
The White Banded Possum Wrasse is hardy, will stay small and perfect for a small reef environment. One male can be kept with a group of females if introduced simultaneously. Provide a well-established tank with plenty of live rock for grazing tiny organisms and a sandy substrate. Keep a snug lid on aquarium. May pick at small invertebrates.
Feed a variety of small frozen meaty foods such as mysis shrimp, enriched brine shrimp and cyclopeeze. You may eventually be able to introduce small food pellets such as Formula One Ocean Nutrition.
