The Orange Ringed Garden Eel or Splendid Garden Eel is a white colored pencil-sized eel with spaced orangish yellow bands that cover its entire body.
The Garden Eel will stay half submerged in the substrate. Keep with smaller peaceful tank mates. For a suitable environment have minimal obstructions with a thick sandy substrate. Keep low to moderate current moving through the lower half of the aquarium. Have a snug lid on aquarium at all times.
Eels will eat all meaty foods including fish, shrimp, squid, and some frozen prepared foods. Use a long feeding rod to feed your eel. They can be trained to associate when it’s feeding time.
