Description
The Fantail Filefish or Hawaiian Filefish is white to yellow with an array of uneven brown dots throughout its body. The fan-like tail fin is orange.
The Fantail Filefish is beautiful and durable and will adapt well in the home aquarium. It should be kept singly, unless it is accompanied by a mate. Keep with other peaceful tank mates. Not suitable in a reef tank or with invertebrates.
The filefish will eat a variety of small meaty foods such as enriched brine shrimp and mysis shrimp; also include marine algae.
