Description
The Redtail Filefish has a tan colored body with a reddish orange tail; shaped like a triggerfish it has a spine on the top of the head that can become erect to help it anchor in crevices of live rock.
The Redtail Filefish is a docile fish and should be kept in a fish only tank with other peaceful fish. It can be frightened easily and should have plenty of live rock for shelter. Can pick at many types of invertebrates.
The filefish will eat a variety of small meaty foods such as enriched brine shrimp and mysis shrimp; also include marine algae.
