The Hector’s Goby has a dark blue base color with yellow horizontal stripes and a black eye spot on the base of the dorsal fin.
Hector’s Gobies requires live rock with well-constructed hiding places in the tank. It will sift sand in search of food or may eat algae in the tank. Overall, it is a nice fish to add to a smaller reef or peaceful community tank. Keep only one per tank unless in a larger system.
This goby is a sand sifter. Its diet should include a variety of live and frozen brine shrimp, mysis shrimp, live worms, and prepared foods for carnivores. Keep well fed.
