The Masked Watchman Goby or Nakedhead Shrimp Goby has an elongated grayish white body with five muted brownish red bands that wrap the body; a brownish slanted line runs behind each eye to the gill area.
The Masked Watchman Goby is a great bottom dweller to have in your tank to sift and clean sand. It will cohabitate with a shrimp but does not need one to survive. A well-established tank and refugium is a good idea and will supply live organisms for this goby to feed on. Keep only one per tank unless mated pairs. Can jump out of open aquariums.
This goby is a sand sifter. Its diet should include a variety of live and frozen brine shrimp, mysis shrimp, live worms, and prepared foods for carnivores.
