Description

The Scissortail Dartfish or Scissortail Goby has a glowing whitish blue body and dark dart-like dorsal and anal fins. The eyes are noticeably large.

 

The Scissortail Dartfish will hover several inches below the surface waiting to feed on drifting organisms or may occasionally feed off the bottom substrate.  Provide a thick sandy substrate and loose rock for shelter.  Keep only one per tank unless mated pair. Can jump out of open aquariums.

 

Its diet should include a variety of live and frozen brine shrimp, mysis shrimp, live worms, and prepared foods for carnivores.
