The Skunk Tilefish or Redback Tilefish is a rare find; they are found in deeper waters in rocky burrows. Rich in color this tilefish has an elongated pale white body with a flamboyant lateral red stripe running along the upper section of the back from the mouth to the tail fin.
The Skunk Tilefish is very shy and for that reason it must be kept with smaller docile tank mates. Keep lighting low to moderate. Provide live rock with a thick sandy substrate for burrows. Members of this species can jump out of open tanks.
Its diet should include a variety of live and frozen brine shrimp, mysis shrimp, live worms, and prepared foods for carnivores. Try Ocean Nutrition Formula One Pellets for a perfect diet.
