The Leaflip Grouper or Saddle Grouper is a dramatic looking grouper with a tan colored body with iridescent white spots; they have distinct black tribal markings running down from the top of their girthy bodies.
The Leaflip Grouper is very hardy and make for interesting viewing The Leaflip Grouper has poisons mucus slime that they can discreet when they are in danger. They are voracious predators and will eat smaller fish and crustaceans. Keep only one per tank. Do not transfer the shipping water to the aquarium.
Feed a variety of meaty foods such as silversides and frozen shrimp. Try saturating food in liquid vitamins and garlic for good fish health.
