Description
The Flagfin Grouper or V-Tail grouper has a reddish shaded body with a V marking in white on its tail. The body will turn darker shades of reddish or whitish striping depending on its mood.
The Flagfin Grouper is a hardy grouper that does very well in captivity. Provide plenty of live rock for shelter. Keep only one Flagfin Grouper per tank. They will eat anything that will fit into their mouth including smaller fish and crustaceans.
Feed a variety of meaty foods such as silversides and frozen shrimp. Try vitamin enriched pellet formula such as Ocean Nutrition Pellets for a healthy diet.
