Description
The Spanish Hogfish is brightly colored in yellow and purple. The purple area resides in the upper midsection and may change with maturity. The fins have an aerodynamic stance. The snout comes to a subtle point.
A very durable fish that can grow fairly large and require a good amount of swimming room. They can be shy and hide when first entering a new environment but will adjust quickly. Keep with other aggressive fish that are equal in size. May eat smaller fish and invertebrates.
