The Bullseye Jawfish has a light brown body with white molted flakes throughout ; it has a large black eye spot on the front of the dorsal fin and big noticeable eyes to see with.
The Bullseye Jawfish are engineers of the substrate and will create a lavish bunker in which to retreat if threatened. Keep single with peaceful tank mates and provide thick substrate and loose rubble for burrows. Can jump out of open aquariums; may be a threat to other substrate dwelling fish and small shrimps.
Feed a variety of small meaty foods such as mysis and brine shrimp. Once comfortable in its new home try prepared foods like Ocean Nutrition Formula One Small Pellets. You may have to put food close to its burrow to entice it.
