Shrimpfish or Razor Fish has a long narrow shiny body with a single black lateral stripe. The mouth is elongated and pointed.
The Shrimp fish has an unusual characteristic of swimming upside-down to blend in with grasses and other cover in the shallows. With its protruding mouth it feeds on small organisms. They are very delicate fish and can be kept in small groups in a well-established tank with a thriving population of organisms to eat. Provide good shelter or overhangs. They should only be kept with other docile fish such a seahorse or pipefish.
Provide small live foods such as brine shrimp and worms.
