Description
The Velvet Fish or The Gumdrop Coral Croucher has a pale white and reddish tinted body with tiny red spots throughout.
Being a member of the Scorpionfish it has small venous dorsal fin spines used as protection. The Velvet fish is easy to care for and can be housed in a small reef tank with other peaceful fish. They will gravitate to branchy coral to rest or small crevices found in the tank. More than one can be house together if each has their own territory.
Target feeding may be required to feed the Velvet Fish; try mysis shrimp, enriched brine shrimp and worms.
