The Banded Pipefish has reddish black rings that cover its long snake like body. The tail is formed into a small red paddle with a white center.
Unfortunately, the Banded Pipefish is difficult to keep due to its demanding food requirements. An ideal habitat would be an established thriving reef aquarium with ample live rock and substrate, containing colonies of copepods.
Transition your pipefish to accept frozen fare, this should be done over time. Initially offer live shrimp, over time try frozen mysis shrimp and other small meaty fare. We recommend soaking your foods in Vitality, which is a liquid vitamin, amino acid, and trace element supplement.
