The Regal Blue Tang or Blue Hippo Tang has rich blue colored body, a black elongated tribal design fills the midsection, the tail fin is shaded in yellow.
The Regal Blue Tang is a stunning addition to any focal tank. This is a active and entertaining fish, you will enjoy to view it's behavior. It is important to keep up pristine water conditions for the Blue Regal Tang and make sure they are not picked on by others in the tank, for they are prone to infections. The Regal Tang can grow up to 12" long, so have lots of swimming space available in the tank.
Have plenty of live rock in your tank. Tangs will graze on the live rock and it will provide necessary hiding areas and swim pass-throughs.
Tangs will eat just about all fish foods; Ocean Nutrition Pellets are a perfect diet. Feed tangs with plenty of marine-based seaweed, as this will keep them healthy. Try putting seaweed on a veggie clip, or break into small pieces and feed 2-3 times per week. Ocean Nutrition Seaweed contains garlic which helps the immune system in these colorful fish.
