The Blue-lined Triggerfish is a rowdy rebel of a fish. As an uninspiring juvenile it will be a muted blue and gold color, However adults will have interesting wavy blue lines that resemble a computer board configuration on the body with colorful accents on its fins.
Juvenile Blue-lined Triggerfish can be kept in a community tank but as they mature they must be moved into a larger aggressive tank. The Blue-Line Triggerfish will rearrange rocks and bite anything they can find in the tank. Invertebrates will not be safe.
Triggerfish are durable specimens that require large tanks with plenty of live rock. They have sharp teeth and powerful jaws for crushing. Belligerent triggers will attack all invertebrates and most will try to rearrange live rock. Keep in aggressive fish only tank with few exceptions. It is best to add triggerfish of the same size and at the same time to prevent skirmishing.
Feed a variety of meaty foods and vitamin enriched foods such as Ocean Nutrition Formula One Pellets in their diet.
