The Creole Wrasse or Creole Reef Wrasse has a lightly decorated purple body. More mature adults have a molted purple body with black face plates and black pectoral fins. Toward the posterior to the caudal fin there are red and yellow colored shades.
They are peaceful fish found all over the Caribbean Sea in groups feeding on the reef in the day. They have a slightly upturned mouth and the eyes are positioned on the head to have better depth perception for smaller food such as zooplankton and worms. Keep with peaceful tank mates and have lots of good hiding places and thick sandy substrate. Will eat smaller invertebrates.
The wrasse will consume a wide variety of foods. Feed vitamin enriched frozen and dry foods. Train your wrasse to eat Ocean Nutrition Pellet Food for a healthy diet.
