The Green Razor Wrasse or Sand Wrasse is from the subfamily Xyrichtyinae. They reside in sandy areas and grass beds, and may share the same terrain as eels and flatfishes. Its body is a greenish color with an oblong form, but varies greatly during its growing stages.
It is very skillful in using the sand beds to elude predators, and can even stay mobile under the sand. It requires ample spacing so it can burrow under the sand. Have lots of good hiding places and thick sandy substrate. Will eat smaller fish and invertebrates.
The wrasse will consume a wide variety of foods. Feed vitamin enriched frozen and dry foods. Train your wrasse to eat Ocean Nutrition Pellet Food for a healthy diet.
