The Richmond’s Wrasse Adult Male is recognized by the orange-brown head and blue lines that are chain-like down the body. Juveniles and females have an orange to yellow anal fins. The mouth projection is more pointed compared to similar species.
Not recommended putting this wrasse with invertebrates or in a reef tank, however they have a striking appearance in peaceful community tank. Keep only one per tank and Have lots of good hiding places and thick sandy substrate. This wrasse is not a picky eater and has no problem finding food including pesky tubeworms and bristleworms. This species is known for their jumping, make sure you have a fully sealed lid on the aquarium.
The wrasse will consume a wide variety of foods. Feed vitamin enriched frozen and dry foods. Train your wrasse to eat Ocean Nutrition Pellet Food for a healthy diet.
