The Slender Black Hat Wrasse is found from Indonesia to Japan. Adults have a long slender body with a black mark that starts behind the eye and continues to the front part of the dorsal fin. Above the eye there is pink shading. The rest of the body is a glowing yellow with two wavy lateral blue to purple lines.
The Slender Black Hat Wrasse is peaceful and relatively durable reef-compatible acquisition. It will spend much of its time lingering around the substrate. Provide plenty of live rock with good hiding places and thick sandy substrate. Will pick at small invertebrates.
The wrasse will consume a wide variety of foods. Feed vitamin enriched frozen and dry foods. Train your wrasse to eat Ocean Nutrition Pellet Food for a healthy diet.
