The Splendid Wrasse is known as the Blue Star Leopard Wrasse, and Vermiculate Wrasse. Adult males have a horizontal line pattern on the body with an extravagant bluish green coloration.
They adapt well to aquarium life after being properly acclimated. They are peaceful and one male can be housed with other female groups. These fish are a good choice for a reef tank. A refugium is a benefit for the population of copepods and other small organisms needed for the wrasse to feed on. More than one can be added simultaneously to the tank. Have plenty of live rock with lots of good hiding places and thick sandy substrate. Will eat invertebrates.
To begin feeding use live feeder shrimp then transition to healthy prepared foods.
