The Hoevan’s Wrasse also known as the Tail-spot Wrasse and Pinstripe Wrasse has an elongated body with a pointed mouth. Juveniles have red horizontal lines from head to tail and yellow coloration under the mouth area. Adults will have more vibrant blue lines that will break down the body.
Like all members of Melanurus wrasses they will tend to pick at rocks and small invertebrates. They have a striking appearance in peaceful community tank. Keep only one per tank and have plenty of live rock and lots of good hiding places with thick sandy substrate. This wrasse is not a picky eater and has no problem finding food.
The wrasse will consume a wide variety of foods. Feed vitamin enriched frozen and dry foods. Train your wrasse to eat Ocean Nutrition Pellet Food for a healthy diet.
