Parrotfish
Parrot fish are small to medium herbivores, generally non-aggressive fish but may fight with their own kind. They need large amounts of swimming space to graze and can be difficult to feed in captivity. Some parrotfish pick at pieces of rock with their powerful beaks and digest those pieces then excrete them, which helps produces the ocean’s sand. Most invertebrates will not be safe around the parrotfish. Have plenty of live rock in your tank for grazing.
